A special team of India’s National Security Guard (NSG) officers are set to travel to Bangladesh where it would "analyse and study" the bombings that happened at an Eid prayer gathering in Dhaka, along with the attacks at a high-end restaurant on July 1st.

The government has authorised the team of NSG officers to travel to Dhaka after its request to visit these spots for a first-hand understanding met with an approval from the Special Forces establishment in Bangladesh.

The NSG team also includes experts in post-blast analysis and counter-terror operations, who will be analysing the bakery attack, in which terrorists killed 22 people.

NSG would be studying the scenario along with their Bangladeshi counterparts, to get an insight into these so that it can not only enhance the counter-terror cooperation between India and Bangladesh but can also add value to NSG’s operations knowledge, which was founded in 1974.
