The Aviation Ministry has come out with a new no-fly list for unruly passengers. This comes in the wake of the incident in which Shiv Sena MP Ravindra Gaikwad assaulted an Air India manager on a plane recently.

Under the new no-fly list, the Indian government has categorised penalty under three categories.

The level 1 constitutes disruptive behaviour such as physical gestures, level 2 is physically abusive behaviour, sexual harassment and level 3 is for murderous assault or life threatening behaviour and damage to aircraft operating systems.

Civil Aviation Minister Ashok Gajapathi Raju said feedback will be taken and the rules will be implemented from June onward.

Gaikwad had beaten up a 63-year-old Air India manager with his slipper 25 times.
