Infosys CEO Vishal Sikka had rolled out an ambitious ‘zero-distance programme’ that was about incentivising project managers who created innovative solution in each project.

So far, the programme has become a hit among the project manager and as many as 500 project managers were incentivised under the zero-distance programme in the last two quarters.

"In March, we celebrated two years of Zero-distance and implementation of more than 2,000 innovation ideas with clients... we have incentivised over 500 project managers in the past two quarters,” Ravi Kumar S, deputy chief operating officer at Infosys told ET. He added that the company is seeing benefits from the creation of new units within its 'transform portfolio' and has given them a level of autonomy in charting their growth.

Infosys has been adopting new strategies to improve servicing give their clients an extra edge. The IT conglomerate is venturing into newer technologies such as artificial intelligence, cloud and automation services to transform its portfolio.
