March’s quarter total reported device sales are 51.8 billion that is up by 3% YOY. This is good news for the industry as the demand for smartphones driven by Qualcomm chipsets is increasing at a rapid pace. More and more mobile players are picking up Qualcomm chipsets. These include some of the top Indian phone makers as well. Very soon we might see more low to mid-end mobile phones from Indian manufacturer with Qualcomm chips that will heat up the market further.
