RCom offers 300 minutes data calls at Re 1 in Delhi NCR

Amidst the intense competition between leading Indian telcos following Reliance Jio's debut, consumers are in for a delight.

Reliance Communication, led by Jio's owner Mukesh Ambani's brother Anil Ambani, has launched a new scheme called "Call drops se chutkara," under which its Delhi-NCR prepaid customers will be allowed to make 300 minutes app- to - app data calls using its superior 850 MHz band, all for Re 1.

The offer includes 7 MB data per day, which could be used to make 10 minutes of app-to-app call per day. However, if the data is not consumed within the day, it will be forfeited.

Gurdeep Singh, CEO of consumer business at RCom told ET that the latest offer doesn't disgregard TRAI regulations.

"We are not bufurcating or dividing the pipe. This is a marketing positioning so more people get to use our 4G LTE services," he said.
