Ratan Tata adds UrbanClap in his long list of investments

After investing in a slew of startups, Tata Sons Chairman Emeritus Ratan Tata has now invested in UrbanClap .
However, the amount invested in the service marketplace could not be ascertained.
Tata’s investment after UrbanClap recently raised $25 million by Bessemer Venture Partners, including the existing Accel Partners and SAIF.
UrbanClap is new on Tata’s itinerary after he invested in personal capacity in Ola, Snapdeal, CarDekho.com and Urban Ladder.
"UrbanClap is building a services marketplace, one which stands firmly for trust. Our conversations with him have always revolved around what it takes to build a sustainable valuable business," Abhiraj Singh Bhal, cofounder and CEO at UrbanClap, told ET.
UrbanClap is a service marketplace that lets consumers hire professionals from yoga instructors to plumbers to beauticians to wedding photographers.
