According to the report, BBC boss Lord Tony Hall will announce on Wednesday that an investigation into the incident found that Clarkson did indeed physically attack producer Oisin Tymon.
Clarkson, who has been suspended from his long-running job hosting the BBC 's wildly popular car show "Top Gear," was sidelined after he reported the incident to BBC Television Chief Danny Cohen.
The fracas was reported to have taken place after the producer failed to secure Clarkson the steak dinner he ordered after a long day of filming.
The BBC has since pulled the three yet-to-be-aired episodes of "Top Gear's" 22nd season from the its schedule.
