Sakshi Malik gets rousing welcome, says she always wanted win an Olympic medal for India

Olympic medallist Sakshi Malik received a heart warming reception in New Delhi and ministers from the Bharatiya Janata Party in Haryana thronged the IGI airport to receive the wrestler who won a bronze medal at Rio.
23-year-old Malik will receive rousing welcome in her village Mokhra Khas in Rohtak district in Haryana.
"It was my dream and hard work of years. Since long I had thought of going to the Olympics to win a medal for the country. It finally happened in Rio," said Sakshi.
She will be felicitated by Haryana Chief MinisterManohar Lal Khattar during a felicitation ceremony and will be honoured with a cash award of Rs 2.5 crore.
Malik thanked wrestlersGeeta Phogat , Sushil Kumar and Yogeshwar Dutt for their contribution to her success.
"It was inspiring when Geeta Phogat qualified for wrestling as she was the first Indian woman to qualify for Olympics. It lit a hope that if one weight category can qualify, there can be more. She also has a hand in my victory. A lot of people including Sushil Kumar and Yogeshwar Dutt have played big role in my victory," she said.
Malik will also stop at few villages in Rohtak district including Ismaila village where she will meet her maternal uncle.
