Having enjoyed tonnes of privileges, a group of elected representatives now have demanded that MPs be automatically upgraded to business class when travelling by air. This surprising demand comes at a time when a TDP MP Diwakar Reddy was accused of roughing up IndiGo staff after being denied a boarding pass on Thursday. If you remember, a few months back, Shiv Sena MP Ravindra Gaikwad assaulted an Air India staffer claiming that his business class ticket from Pune to Delhi was not honoured.

The members of that committee has advised civil aviation minister Ashok Gajapati Raju that upgrading all MPs should be made a norm in all airlines, including the private carriers, according to a Times of India news report.
