Sourav Ganguly strikes his first run in the startup world; invests in an entertainment company

Indian cricket team's former captain Sourav Ganguly has made his very first step in the startup world by investing in Mumbai based entertainment company, Flickstree.

Ganguly joins a long list of cricketers and sportsperson who have taken interest in entrepreneurship famously, Yuvraj Singh has invested in close to 10 startups which include Jet Set Go and licensing startup Black White Orange, etc. Robin Uthappa has invested in HealtheMind and iTiffin; Virat Kohli owns the gym chain Chisel and Tendulkar has invested in companies like fashion brand True Blue and online travel agency Musafir and Smaaash Entertainment, ; Dhoni has invested in SportsFit World and footwear brand Seven.
Flickstree is India's first Personal Video Magazine which is a curated and personalized Video Platform, for free-to-watch videos. Flickstree compiles these free-to-watch online videos from social networks, media sites, and blogs and then creates a custom user video feed. The AI based on patent pending technology, allows Flickstree to effectively curate and personalize the experience for its users.

Flickstree has raised a seed round INR 3Cr capital from investors like Venture Catalysts, Anirban Aditya & Ankit Aditya (Aditya Group, Kolkata) and Moksh Sports Ventures, along with Sourav Ganguly. Venture Catalysts is leading the round.

Flickstree is also a Facebook backed company via their FBStart program. Currently with 20+ video categories, users can follow & create an interesting video magazine on Flickstree.
