It was an emotional night in Las Vegas on Tuesday as the NHL's expansion Golden Knights honored the victims and first responders of the recent shooting that killed 58 people just prior to their first-ever regular season game in Las Vegas.
As can be seen in the image above, prior to the game, the team put the names of the victims on the ice. There was also a 58-second moment of silence.
The team was also introduced along with first responders.

Once the game started, the players kept emotions riding high.
Just 2.5 minutes into the game, the Arizona Coyotes got caught flat-footed when they thought they had a turnover. Instead, the puck was pushed up to Tomas Nosek who fired one past the goalie.
The crowd went absolutely bonkers and erupted like something typically reserved for the Stanley Cup Final.
The Golden Knights went on to score three more times in the period to take a commanding 4-1 lead after the first 20 minutes of regular season NHL action in Las Vegas.
