This marks the eighth weekend Disney has been number one at the box office in 2016.
"The Jungle Book" has now grossed over $250 million domestically and things will only get better for Disney going forward as they release Marvel's "Captain America: Civil War" next weekend.
"Civil War" has already opened in numerous foreign markets, taking in over $200 million. It's likely we'll see a similar opening weekend figure when it opens domestically.
New releases "Keanu" and "Mother's Day" were no match as they took in an estimated $9.35 million and $8.30 million, respectively.
