Nintendo has partnered with the clothing company Uniqlo for a t-shirt design competition, with "Super Mario Bros." and "Legend of Zelda" creator Shigeru Miyamoto as a special guest judge. The first place winner gets $10,000, while the second place winner gets $3,000 - better yet, both of them get NX consoles autographed by Miyamoto!

The rules appear to be pretty lenient: you can submit as many designs as you want between now and August 31, there is no fee to participate, and age doesn't matter. As you might expect, designs must feature characters from Nintendo franchises like "Super Mario Bros." and "The Legend of Zelda," and they must be original illustrations.

The first and second prize winners who receive autographed NX consoles will be invited to a special ceremony with Miyamoto in attendance where they will be given their prizes. Details on that event are unavailable at this time, but it's scheduled for spring 2017, which is when the new game console is supposed to launch.

If you're an artist who loves Nintendo and wants to see your work represented on company merchandise, it's important to know that, if you win, you won't be compensated beyond the aforementioned prizes. Still, $10,000, a brand new game console, and a chance to meet a bonafide gaming legend in Miyamoto are all better than nothing.

For more details about the competition, check out the page on Uniqlo's website about it.
