TRAI’s three apps-Trai MyCall App, auto test enabled MySpeed app and Do-not-disturb 2.0 app- will aim at improving customer experience through real-time feedback.

"We think crowdsourcing is the best way to get customer feedback, better and cost effective than surveys or other studies, and we've tried to leverage this technology tool in the past for bringing out the true picture of the impact of the services," said TRAI chairman RS Sharma.

The MyCall Android app will help mobile users to rate the call quality in real time and ask customers an array of questions.

The data is collected anonymously, and users can also mark a call as call drop whenever it happens.

Meanwhile, the MySpeed app will help users measure 3G and 4G speeds and the Do-not-disturb app comes with a spam detection engine for SMS, and marks the message as spam but will wait for the consumer's action.
