Son of a lecturer,Tanmay Shekhawat scored 291 marks. As a result of his stellar performance, Samarpan coaching institute, where he had been preparing, gifted him a BMW car worth Rs 28.50 lakh!
Ask RL Poonia andShrichand Dhaka , the directors of this institute, why they rewarded him so handsomely, and they say they were merely keeping up to their promise. Yes, Poonia and Dhaka had promised all the students that they would gift a BMW to anyone who would achieve under 20 rank in JEE Advanced.
Even as students thought, it was just to motivate them to study harder and perform well, the duo proved they weren't doing small talk. They indeed had plans to gift a BMW to the deserving student.
Meanwhile, Tanmay and his family's happiness knows no bounds. The boy, who comes from a very humble background, says he never even dreamt of such a car, forget having it.
“I am very happy after receiving this lavish gift from my teachers. I am thankful to my institute and all credit goes to them for my stunning performance,” he says.
