Fitness experts also swear by the same advice as they suggest people to go light on dinners. Science also backs it as going to sleep with a heavy calorie intake slows metabolism, digestion and leads to weight gain and lethargy.

“Dinner should be a light, well-portioned meal. One should avoid heavy meals at night, because our metabolism is at its lowest towards the end of the day,” said celebrity fitness trainer Vinod Channa, who is also training Ambani scion, Anant Ambani.

Apart from light dinner, a lot of consideration also goes into what is on your plate and sometimes preparing a nutritious dinner also seems like rocket science.

“You should know how to stock your kitchen with healthy nutritious foods, which are both colourful and tasty. It is also good to have an early dinner because you are a little active than you would be too late in the night,” suggested Channa, who is presently training John Abraham for his next movie.
