When was the last time you gave a break to your mind?
We all are leading busy lives, caught in a vicious circle life of work, home and vice-versa.
Our minds are stressed all the time. At every moment, we are thinking about a dozen of things and are dependent on our minds for everything. We rely on our minds to be happy, content, thoughtful, considerate, focussed, creative, etc.
Our minds are always inundated with thoughts and it is important to give our minds a break. We have to look after ours mind to lead less stressful lives.
So, the question-‘When was the last time you gave break to your mind’-becomes more important now.
When did you take out time to do nothing? Nothing means nothing, no internet, chatting, eating, TV, etc. You have to learn how to be in, here and now, mindful, present.
Here comes the role of
meditation. No, you don’t need incense sticks of sit in an uncomfortable position. All you need is 10 minutes.
Allow your minds to be healthier as it impacts our life.
Andy Puddicombe, former Buddhist Monk and a mindfulness expert, in his
Ted Talk, said, “I think the present moment is so underrated. It sounds so ordinary, and yet we spend so little time in the present moment that it's anything but ordinary.”
It’s easy to take out time for 10 minutes and be more mindful. It is no rocket science and we need a framework to learn how to be more mindful.
