One day after accidentally swatting a home run over the fence against the Cleveland Indians, Detroit Tigers outfielder Mikie Mahtook had some more bad luck around the fence.

Against the Kansas City Royals on Monday, Mahtook smacked a deep fly ball to left field that looked like a sure-fire home run.

Royals outfielder Alex Gordon, however, got to the fence in time, patiently waited for his moment, jumped up, and robbed Mahtook of the home run.

While the catch and timing were impressive, equally delightful was Mahtook's reaction as his face turned to horror at Gordon's catch.
