Beleaguered carrier SpiceJet has announced a 'Super Sale' putting five lakh seats on sale, with fares starting Rs 1,499 (all inclusive). The booking can be done between January 28 and January 30 in order to travel in the period starting February 15 till June 30, 2015.

“We are excited to offer our first signature promotion for 2015 to incentivise customers to try our enhanced schedule and reward early planners with great discounted fares. Such Super Sale offers are meant to sell in advance at attractive prices, seats that would otherwise be expected to go empty, thereby improving revenues. With this offer, customers who have not planned to travel due to high last minutes fares can now plan in advance and enjoy super low fares to meet their travel needs”, said Kaneswaran Avili, chief commercial officer, SpiceJet Ltd.

“We want to thank our customers and partners for their patience and support as we continue on our re-structuring path,” said Sanjiv Kapoor, chief operating officer, SpiceJet Ltd.

Notably, the Gurgaon-headquartered airline, which was grounded for a few days last month due to financial crisis, has been bought by its co-founder Ajay Singh.

“This sale offer coming from SpiceJet after a gap of few months shows the airline is back on track. Travel period offered under this sale covers summer vacation and is a good opportunity for people to plan their holidays in advance at a very exciting rate," said Vinay Gupta, founder and chief executive officer, TripFactory.com.
