Watch GOP candidate Ted Cruz cook bacon with a 'machine-gun'
First, Sen. Rand Paul (R-Kentucky) went at the US tax code with a chainsaw. Then, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina) lit his cellphone on fire. And now, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) is cooking bacon with a "machine gun."
"In Texas, we cook bacon a little differently than most folks," Cruz said in a video with IJReview before wrapping the barrel of an AR-15 assault rifle in bacon and tin foil. He proceeded to fire off rounds until the the heat from the barrel cooked the breakfast meat.
This latest attempt at a viral video by a Republican presidential hopeful comes days before the first GOP presidential debate, in which candidates are scrambling for attention and a bump in the polls to remain in the 10-person event. As things stand now, Cruz sits in sixth place nationally with 6.2% of the vote, according to a RealClearPolitics average of five recent polls.
