The perennial discount war would never end! Feel happy. Big Bazaar is all set to introduce its mobile app next month, where you can compare online prices and offline ones. Kishore Biyani of the Future Group that runs Big Bazaar also puts a challenge of maximum discount. In an interview with The Economic Times, he said, “We are launching a price-match offer where if you shop from us and anybody else is selling cheaper than us at that moment, we will automatically give credits in your account " anything online or offline."

As the brick and mortar stores seem like struggling for existence, thanks to Amazon, Flipkart and Snapdeal taking a lead role in raining discounts and thereby luring people to buy online, Big Bazaar joins the battle of prices in a different way.

According to the Economy Times, Biyani , who's just struck a deal to take over Bharti Retail, said he doesn't worry too much about ecommerce, because it won't be able to match real-world stores in terms of overall volume.

"Who is afraid of ecommerce?" Biyani asked in the interview with the financial daily. "Even if you open 10 sites in 10 years, it will be 10% (of the total organised retail market). Secondly, worldwide, multichannel is the way. Traditional retailers doing multichannel is a bigger thing than pure online in any which way."

Apart from this, Future will soon conduct an omni-channel pilot programme in which its Big Bazaar and Food Bazaar stores will deliver goods to customers in Mumbai an hour after they place their orders.
