Apple products go cheaper with GST

With the implementation of goods and services tax (GST), Californi-based Apple Inc. has announced a reduction in the maximum retail prices (MRP) of its products sold in India, including iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, and the Mac line of computers, with a few exceptions.

While there has been no reduction in the price of MacBook Air, both 128GB SSD and 256GB SSD, prices of the 12-inch MacBook and MacBook Pro models have gone down between Rs. 5,100 and Rs. 11,800.

There also has been a reduction in the prices of Desktop Macs, except Mac Mini and 27-inch iMac, prices for which have gone up in higher configurations.

There also has been a fall in the MRP of all iPhone models, ranging from Rs. 1,200 reduction for the 32GB iPhone SE to Rs. 6,600 fall for the iPhone 7 Plus 256GB variant.

Similarly, prices for iPad models have gone down between Rs. 900 and Rs. 3,900, applicable also on the newly announced iPad Pro models.
