Car crashes into pedestrians in New York's Times Square
A car has apparently crashed into pedestrians on the sidewalk in New York's Times Square.
The New York Police Department said that the car "lost control," that the driver is in custody, and an investigation is underway. AFP and Reuters are reporting that there is at least one casualty, but that hasn't been confirmed yet.
Reuters, which has an office at 7th Avenue and 42nd Street, is reporting that at least 10 people are receiving treatment for injuries. It's unclear whether the incident is a terror attack. Terrorists have used vehicles to crash into crowds in Germany and Paris in the past year.
