Here's how Twitter reacted after MS Dhoni stepped down as ODI, T20 captain
Last night, Mahendra Singh Dhoni made an announcement that broke the hearts of millions of cricket loving Indians. Dhoni revealed that he would be stepping down as the captain of the Indian cricket team from the ODI and the T20 formats of the game and would be available for selection for the upcoming ODI and T20 series against England.
"On the behalf of every Indian cricket fan and the BCCI, I would like to thank MS Dhoni for his outstanding contribution as the captain of the Indian team across all formats. Under his leadership, Indian team has touched new heights and his achievements will remain etched forever in the annals of Indian cricket," said Rahul Johri, the Chief Executive Officer of the BCCI.
As news of his resignation spread on social media, people understandably got quite emotional about saying goodbye to Captain Cool.
