India formally asks UK to deport Vijay Mallya

The Indian government has formally asked the United Kingdom to deport Vijay Mallya, the former Indian liquor baron who owes state-run banks over Rs 9000 crores of unpaid loans, but fled to London on March 2nd.The 60-year old businessman inherited a fortune from his father at the age of 28, and took it to new heights with his vision and successful brands like Kingfisher beer. As per reports, he would also be expelled from his post of a Member of Parliament next week, after the government cancelled his passport a few days back.
