LIVE: Facebook earnings
Facebook will announce its fourth quarter earnings after markets close on Wednesday.
The social media giant is riding an impressive five-quarter earnings and revenue-beat streak. But investors are anxious to see how management plans to offset the slowdown in News Feed ad growth that Facebook has warned is coming in mid-2017.
Here are the numbers expected by Wall Street analysts:
- EPS (adjusted): $1.31, up from $0.79 in the year-ago period.
- Revenue: $8.51 billion, up 46% from $5.84 billion in the year-ago period.
- Monthly active users: 1.84 billion vs. 1.79 billion last quarter.
- Daily active users: 1.21 billion vs. 1.18 billion last quarter.
