The New York Times first reported on Tuesday that Kelly will anchor an NBC News program Sunday evening, host a daily daytime news talk-show, and become a mainstay in special political news events.
An NBC News source confirmed the news to other outlets.
Tuesday's news came after months of speculation about Kelly's future at the network. The anchor has engaged in a relatively public renegotiation of her contact, which is set to expire this year.
Fox News and NBC News did not immediately return Business Insider's request for comment.
