At a time when the world is steering into a futuristic dynamics with the dawn of IoT, Blaze automation - an IoT focused company in India, is trying to disrupt the global space with its new home automation technology - B.One Hub.

An automation hub in itself, it lets home owners efficiently control and automate security, ambience, entertainment, and heating and cooling systems. "Our idea was to launch it at an affordable cost in India, and break the myth that high technology devices cannot be afforded by the masses. We in-fact wanted to bring this technology to Indian homes to make lives easy. By pricing it at Rs 15,000, our message to people is - Stakes are not too high here. If you can afford a smartphone, you can easily afford a B.One Hub too," says Sridhar Ponugupati, CEO of Blaze Automation, adding that it took them $3.5 million to develop these products. Blaze Automation has integrated products of smart device manufacturers like Amazon, Aeon Labs, Belkin, Cree, Fibaro, GE, Honeywell, Nest (by Google), Philips, Sonos and Yale into B.One Hub.

While home automation technology is not new in the global market, Blaze automation is one of the only companies to not just bring its security device early to the Indian market, but also make efforts to ensure its simple to use and not too heavy on the pocket for mass adoption. The company clearly sees affordability and simplicity as two major factors playing a significant role in stimulating mass adoption in the Indian market. It is also expecting to see majority of the demand coming from the youth in view of the general interest this generation takes in being technology updated. Also, there has been a surge in increasing smart technology engagement among the Indian youth, which gives enough ground to believe they would be supremely interested in owning B.One Hub.

Interestingly, the product developed by Indian techies, is already being sold in Japan, Australia, New Zealand, the US and Canada. The founders say they will also start looking at India for manufacturing in the coming years. It has also received seven patents for its products so far. However, one of the biggest credits it has to itself is that Blaze Automation has been able to book orders of over Rs 260 crores ($40 Million) in the international market in a matter of few months since its launch. It now wants to replicate the same success in the Indian market.

B.One Hub is all set to make its India debut in August this year. The company says you will be able to buy it through various integrators, dealers and distributors, and also through some of the major offline and online retailers in the country.
