Zone Startups India has yet again come up with empoWer , its second edition of the accelerator programme for women entrepreneurs innovating in tech.
In the first empoWer programme, 15 women entrepreneurs were selected from over 180 applications.
Ajay Ramasubramaniam, Director, Zone Startups India, "The problems faced by a lot of women entrepreneurs is unique, and we feel that there is a case for having a dedicated accelerator program for women entrepreneurs - complete with mentoring, workshops, caste studies of successful women led startups, industry connect, peer network and investor connect.”
empoWer is a 6-week accelerator program built on the basis of a primary research conducted by Zone Startups India, during its application process. The structure has been defined by the inputs generated from women entrepreneurs during this research.
During it research, various insights came up such as many women faced lack of financial independence, inability take risks, managing business operations (Technology & Finance), etc.
