Man proposes and the Supreme Court disposes. That’s the most we can say about the apex court’s decision to keep alcohol stores off the highways, starting April. An applauding decision indeed! Call it ill luck or a performance booster for the chefs; the restaurants lined up at Cyber Hub in Gurugram are in for the game. This part of the millennium city of Gurugram boasts of an insignia. As you climb down the Cyber Hub metro station, you will be greeted by a part of India that your eyes aren’t tuned to see on your everyday life.

Walking past the temptation of several pubs and clubs, some too quirky with dirty laundry hanging outside, (I don’t know where they get their quirk innovators from) we finally reached Indigo Delicatessen. Now if you are an ardent fan of Vir Sanghvi’s food stories and try to make dots connect, let’s clarify this was an invitation from the agency that handles Indigo Deli and we would prefer keeping mum on whatever history you ask for and try this authentic Deli.

As we were ushered in, a full house at 3pm on a weekday welcomed us. Don’t worry after April; they can actually make up for the no alcohol- of course, with its house favourite mock tails and deli food.
