Researchers interviewed elite coaches from Korea, a sporting powerhouse renowned for their dominance in disciplines such as taekwondo and short-track speed skating. They discovered that these trainers were often driven by a desperation to escape the shackles of their homeland's stifling coaching regimes. As a result, these coaches often embark on a journey to Western countries in search of salvation, as the study found.
