CEO of Yes Bank, Prashant Kumar, has stated that if a bank wants to be customer-centric, it also needs to be employee-centric, and treat its customers and employees with dignity. The bank has undergone a rebranding exercise to convey its improved governance and transparency, having curbed a high ratio of bad loans. Kumar has emphasised the importance of bringing customer confidence back into the sector by following the recommendations of the Reserve Bank of India to improve customer service standards. Yes Bank has doubled its deposits in less than three years and is adding 130,000 new customers monthly on the CASA side.
