While still dealing with the S7 debacle Samsung has managed to bring out a power packed phone. And Samsung has all hopes on the latest flagship phone to once and for all put the whole controversy to rest.

Samsung announced the launch of the S8 and S8 Plus simultaneously in new York and London and it was more than a big affair, even amidst all the glitz, the phones managed to shine. If we start with the design of the phones, yes, the rumours were true it does have a curved display that covers almost the entire front side of the phone even the home button; the home button now resides below the screen. The S8 has a 5.8-inch screen and the S8 Plus has a 6.2-inch screen.

There hasn’t been much of an upgrade from the S7 in terms of the camera the S8 has 12-megapixel rear camera and 8-megapixel front-facing camera.

The phone also has 64 GB of internal memory which is expandable via MicroSD slot. The S8, like many Samsung phones is water resistant. And the new S8 is future ready as it can control all you smart home appliances. It also has a fast charging feature and ofcourse the wireless charging. It comes with Harman Kardon earbuds and it has a headphone jack!

With all eyes on Samsung’s big launch, Samsung has managed to put up a great show explaining the many features of the phone including infinity display, IRIS scanner and Samsung’s very own assistant Bixby. One of the most talked about features of the S8 was finally Samsung’s AI Assistant, Bixby. We can’t say how good or bad it is at the moment but it’s there and it seems it can not only read and hear but also see.
The Galaxy S8 and S8+ will be available starting on April 21, and it comes in many colours, Midnight Black, Orchid Gray, Arctic Silver, Coral Blue and Maple Gold. According to the site, you can preorder the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus from March 30.
