12 schools have committed more than $300 million to new football coaches in recent weeks

We still don't know the national champion of the 2017 college football season, and yet, 12 FBS schools in Power 5 conferences have already hired new football coaches.
The total bill for those 12 coaches? $301.8 million.
Jimbo Fisher received the largest contract, a whopping $75.0 million over ten years. The average contract among the 12 coaches is 5.75 years, $25.2 million, and with an average annual value of $4.4 million.
