When it comes to hotel credit cards, Hilton's done a good job of making its lineup of options appealing. Not only do Hilton Amex credit cards earn substantial bonus points on your spending, but you can also enjoy annual reward nights and complimentary Hilton elite status as a cardholder.

Currently, three of Hilton's credit cards are offering elevated welcome bonuses - which means you can currently earn more points than usual when you apply for one of these cards and meet the minimum spending requirement in the first three to four months (depending on the card).

You can use Hilton points to book free stays at some great properties around the world, from Hawaii to the Maldives.

These three Hilton card welcome offers are only available until August 28, so don't wait if you're interested.

Keep in mind that we're focusing on the rewards and perks that make these credit cards great options, not things like interest rates and late fees, which can far outweigh the value of any rewards.

When you're working to earn credit card rewards, it's important to practice financial discipline, like paying your balances off in full each month, making payments on time, and not spending more than you can afford to pay back. Basically, treat your credit card like a debit card.

Here's a quick rundown of the three limited-time Hilton Amex welcome bonuses:

Hilton Honors Surpass Amex Card

Welcome bonus: Earn 130,000 Hilton points and a free weekend night reward after you spend $4,000 in the first four months

Annual fee: $95

This offer gets you just 5,000 extra points compared to the Hilton Surpass card's standard welcome bonus, but the kicker is that you get a free weekend night reward to use at eligible Hilton properties. So if you use the 130,000 points to book an award stay at a Hilton hotel, the free weekend night reward can extend your stay.

The Hilton Surpass card earns 12x points on Hilton stays, and it offers cardholders complimentary Gold elite status in the Hilton Honors loyalty program.

Hilton Honors American Express Business Card

Welcome bonus: Earn 130,000 Hilton points and a free weekend night reward after you spend $5,000 in the first four months

Annual fee: $95

This is the same offer as the Surpass card, but with a slightly higher spending requirement. The Hilton Honors Business card is, well, a business credit card, so if you have a side gig or a company, you could be able to easily meet that requirement with business-related expenses.

Other card benefits include complimentary Gold Hilton status and a complimentary free weekend night reward each calendar year you spend $15,000 on the card (and another when you spend $45,000 in the same calendar year).

Hilton Honors American Express Card

Welcome bonus: Earn 90,000 Hilton points after you spend $2,000 in the first three months

Annual fee: $0

This card lets you earn Hilton points without having to pay an annual fee, and its elevated welcome bonus gets you 15,000 more points than the standard welcome offer.

Beyond the welcome bonus, Hilton Amex card benefits include complimentary Hilton Silver elite status, 7x points on Hilton stays, and no foreign transaction fees (not always a given with a no-annual-fee card).
