5.8 magnitude earthquake hits north India, rattles Delhi-NCR

Strong earthquake of 5.8 magnitude rattled Uttarakhand and tremors were also felt in Delhi-NCR.
The tremors were felt across northern India just past 10:33 pm.
As per the India Meteorological Department (IMD), epicentre was in the mountain state's Rudraprayag District.
The European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) and United States Geological Service (USGS) have located the epicentre close to Pipalkoti.
The resultant tremors were felt across northern India, and were reported to have lasted over 30 seconds in some places.
Tremors were reported from Delhi-NCR, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Agra and a number of other places.
