A new drone video over Apple's campus gives a crazy perspective on just how large that dirt pile is
The company vowed to re-use all of the earth it dug up to build its campus as part of the landscaping. As the company has built its spaceship-lookalike campus, the pile of dirt has grown next to it.
Even Apple's CEO is proud of the pyramid they've built."Hard to know which is more beautiful, the building or that pile of dirt," Tim Cook told Vogue back in February.
A new drone video released by Matthew Roberts gives us a good look at just how large the dirt pile is compared to the campus around it. Packed in all of the other construction updates, Roberts' drone gets a good shot of an SUV climbing to the top of the dirt pile around the 1:30 mark and then swoops over to the campus. You can otherwise see shots of the dirt pyramid next to the parking structures - although a much smaller pile has also appeared in the center of campus.
