Dangal: First look out and release date announced

If you have had a look at Aamir Khan lately, you know that he has gained a lot of weight for the role of wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat, which he would be playing in the upcoming biopic Dangal.

However, we were yet to see the official first look of the movie, but the wait is finally over.

Aamir Khan has released the first look of the movie on his social media platforms, thereby allowing us a sneak peek into the character that he has gained almost 30 kgs for.

The poster shows Aamir Khan in a muddy avatar, as Phogat, a wrestler, used to practicing in an akhara, a muddy wrestling-ground. He trained all his daughters and nieces in the same akhara, making them win several medals in international tournaments.

In the biopic, we see Khan playing the role of Mahavir Singh Phogat, who trained his daughters Geeta and Babita in wrestling, which led them to win Gold and Silver medals, respectively, in the 2010 Commonwealth Games held in New Delhi. He also trained his niece Vinesh, who went on to win gold in 2014 Commonwealth Games held in Glasgow, and bronze at the 2014 Asian Games, held in South Korea.

The movie also features popular television actress Sakshi Tanwar as Phogat’s wife Daya Kaur, Fatima Sana Sheikh as Geeta Phogat and Sanya Malhotra as Babita Kumari. The movie has been directed by Nitesh Tiwari and has been produced by Walt Disney, Siddharth Roy Kapur, and Aamir himself, along with wife Kiran Rao.

The movie would release on 23^rd December in 2016. After Taare Zameen Par, Ghajini, 3 Idiots, Dhoom 3, and PK, this movie is also going to tap in the collections of the Christmas weekend.
