Here come new home sales...

The reading on new home sales from the Census Bureau is expected to slide slightly for the month of September.

Analysts project new home sales to decrease by 1.0% from the prior month to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 600,000.

Last month, new home sales dropped precipitously, falling by 7.9% from the month before. This, however, followed a 13.8% increase for the month of July, which was the strongest since July 2007.

The number will cross at 10 a.m. ET, and we'll have the number right as it crosses.
