The Empire State Manufacturing index from the New York Federal Reserve is set to be released at 8:30 a.m. ET.
The reading on manufacturing in New York is expected to bounce back slightly in September with economists projecting a reading of -1.
The index unexpectedly slumped to -4.2 in August and has continually fluctuated between positive and negative since March.
