Here’s why WhatsApp chose India for the Global launch of its most awaited Video Calling feature

WhatsApp has finally launched its video calling services and pretty soon you can make video calls from WhatsApp too just like how you make video calls from Skype, Facetime, and more recently Google Duo.

The company says it received many request for bringing the video calling feature on their chatting app, Jan Koum, CEO and Founder said, “video calling is one of the most requested features from people in India, where we now have 160million users”.

Which clearly means Facebook owned communication app, WhatsApp is the most popular messaging app in India, and India is the biggest market for WhatsApp, that’s reason enough for the company to do a big Global launch of its long awaited feature video calling here in India.
