Korean automotive giant Android users in the US with the new sedan can request Hyundai car dealers to download the system absolutely free of charge. They will also be able to plug in their smartphones and transfer critical information like calls, GPS navigation and messages to the car’s database. The new system reportedly improves safety.
"Android Auto aligns with Hyundai's core interior design principles of safety, intuitiveness and simplicity. With the launch of Android Auto, we provide more owners with the experience of cutting-edge technology,"
Hyundai has vowed to extend the list of Android enabled vehicles to other models. Upcoming models can also come fitted with Apple’s version of the same system known as CarPlay.
