#IndependenceDaySpl: Here's how the Wadia Group blossomed in British India

India is all set to celebrate its 69th independence day on this August 15. Most of us connect Independence Day with the massive freedom struggle and the subsequent but tragic partition. But hardly, any of us remember the economic scenario of British India. The pre-independence era was the beginning of modern India—with railways being laid and the businesses expanding their horizons.

So this Independence Day, BI India brings you a special series on companies that were born in the pre-independence era and have now grown to be conglomerates. Our first in line would be the Wadia Group, founded by Sir Lovji Nusserwanjee Wadia.
