India Likely To Buy S-70B Sea Hawk Helicopters During Modi's US Visit

As per a news report, India is likely to buy Sikorsky Aircraft's S-70B Sea Hawk helicopters for a 16-aircraft tender worth more than $1 billion during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s five-day US visit.

The Obama administration may press sale of M-777 ultra-light howitzers and Javelin anti-tank guided missiles (ATGMs).

India has emerged as one of the foremost buyers of American military equipment in the last decade, and has also exported military equipment worth more than Rs 60,000 crore during the same period.

Other equipments supplied by the US includes: C-17 strategic lift transport aircraft, C-130J Super Hercules special operations planes, P-8I anti-submarine warfare planes and the AN-TPQ weapon locating radars.
