Just when you thought you have heard enough of that annoying song and the tune has stuck in your head for so many days today, wait, it’s not yet over.A pop-up restaurant has come up in Tokyo. Inspired by Japanese comedian Piko Taro's "Pen Pineapple Apple Pen" song, which has recently gone viral on the internet, PPAP cafe has opened its doors for patrons.
The food menu consists obviously of dishes made with apples and pineapples. While there are other food items like burgers available, the crux is on dessert. There is a PPAPan burger keeps the song’s acronym...by having the letters stand for Pan (the Japanese word for “bread”) P/Bulgogi (Korean-style marinated beef), Avocado, and, (another layer of bread) Pan.
People have already started flooding this Japanese cafe for photo ops.
The desserts have chocolate sticks in them that look like pens. Once you're done with food, you can then get your photo clicked with the life size standee of Piko Taro.
