Volvo Trucks. Van Damme says it's the most epic of splits.
The advertisement was shot in a controlled
environment on a closed off landing strip in
Spain. The commercial showcases immense steadiness of these Volvo trucks. The live test was set up to demonstrate the precision and directional stability of Volvo Dynamic Steering, which makes the new Volvo FM easier to drive. Directed by
Andrea Nilsson, the editors have used background audio score of Enya: Only Time for this commercial.
Immediately after the advertisement was shown
Twitter and
Facebook feeds lit up with hundreds of comments and praises. In two days the advertisement has already surpassed 6.1 million views on YouTube. This is probably the effect that Volvo was hoping for and got. However, this is a dangerous stunt to perform and is done under strict supervision of professionals and should not be tried in any form.
