A startup that aims to make medical care more affordable for cardiac patients in rural India won the Jury’s hearts at the Startup India Launchpad, presented by Google.

The idea was first presented to the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research who provided initial capital. The company raised a total of Rs 60 lakhs of seed capital.

The device tested by this startup combines communications and heart monitoring technology to access critical care through a wearable device.
The differentiating factor is the price and the specialist software. The price is expected to be Rs. 1 lakh, roughly a quarter of rival products.

It is not a cell phone app, but a pure diagnostic device. MIRCaM is designed for long-term monitoring to even detect conditions that occur sporadically.
