Technology workers in Britain get paid 36% more than the national average salary, according to data published by government-backed Tech City UK in its latest Tech Nation report.

There were over one million jobs advertised in the digital economy for the first 9 months of 2015 and the average advertised salary for these roles was just under £50,000, according to Burning Glass data cited by Tech City UK.

The average national salary is £27,600, according to the latest national figures.
