That's according to Google's Year in Search report, which highlights the top-trending searches in the US over the past 12 months - terms that had the highest spike in traffic this year compared to 2016.

While devices like the Nintendo Switch and Apple Watch Series 3 were among the most-searched tech products, it was smartphones from Samsung, Google, and Apple that captured customers' attention.
