New York City is preparing for an impending snowstorm, and lines at Trader Joe's grocery stores in the city are stretching outside and around the block, Gothamist points out.

People have been tweeting pictures of the crazy lines at multiple Trader Joe's locations.

Trader Joe's isn't the only grocery store in New York seeing massive lines: Business Insider retail reporter Ashley Lutz visited the Whole Foods in Union Square on Thursday evening and said the lines were stretching around the store.

New York City, northeast New Jersey, and southern Westchester County are expected to get 5 to 9 inches of snow, with most of it accumulating overnight.
